Good to know

  • Seasons: NFL September to January, college football late August to December (mostly Saturdays), MLB April to September, NBA and NHL October to April, MLS late February to October, WNBA May to September, CFL June to November – playoffs follow.
  • Tickets: safest via the team’s website or the league’s official ticket exchange; for resale, use well-known platforms only.
  • Bags: NFL stadiums and many college stadiums only allow clear bags up to 12 × 6 × 12 inches or small clutches – leave backpacks in the car or hotel.
  • College football: the biggest stadiums hold over 100,000 people; tailgating in the parking lots before the game is part of it.
  • Tours: many stadiums offer tours on non-game days – a good tip outside the season.
